Oct 21 · Vance says fraud task force found $42 million in SNAP fraud
USA TODAY: Vance blasts fraud but says SNAP is "one of the most important social service programs" in the US
Grade B (82/100). Cut drops the fraud figures and cases
Lehrer score 82/100 (−18 omission: Cut ends at [2:10] 'against fraud in the SNAP'; the clip never gives the $42 million total, the 13 districts or any case.). Fixed scale: 90+ A, 80s B, 70s C, 60s D, under 60 F → B. Framing: Emphasis: SNAP's value. The cut keeps Vance's praise of SNAP [0:56]-[1:46] and the fraud warning [1:49]-[2:02], and stops at [2:10] before the case and the totals. The title leads with the 'most important' line, not the fraud findings.
Cut ends at [2:10] 'against fraud in the SNAP'; the clip never gives the $42 million total, the 13 districts or any case.
Splits: [0:59] 'important social service programs that we have in the United States of America.'
- Broken. Rule: omission (Cut ends at [2:10] 'against fraud in the SNAP'; the clip never gives the $42 million total, the 13 districts or any case.)
