Rep. Haley Stevens demands that Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed apologize over remarks on Israel, and his campaign asks her to stay away from its final events before Tuesday's election

Rep. Haley Stevens on Friday called on Abdul El-Sayed, who beat her in Michigan's August Democratic Senate primary, to apologize for remarks linking Israel to what Michigan cannot afford, and to condemn an outside group's ad she called antisemitic, which ties U.S. support for Israel to grocery costs. CBS News and the New York Post report that El-Sayed's campaign then asked Stevens to stay away from its remaining campaign events. El-Sayed faces Republican Mike Rogers in Tuesday's election.
