Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei orders an immediate response without geographic limits to any new U.S. or Israeli attack as Qatari mediators move their talks from Tehran to Doha
Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said on Saturday that any new attack by the United States or Israel must be met with an immediate response without geographic limits. The statement came a day after Qatari mediators held more than 12 hours of talks in Tehran aimed at restarting direct negotiations between Washington and Tehran, and those talks continued in Doha, Qatar, on Saturday. The mediators are trying to head off a return to fighting after Tuesday's U.S. midterm elections. Axios and Fox News report that Khamenei, after meeting senior military commanders, ordered Iran's target list updated to bring U.S. and Israeli assets within reach. CNBC and Fox News report that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Iran has no plans to meet U.S. officials.
