Alaska Sen. Dan Sullivan says on CNN he will accept the election results, and says Mary Peltola is still lying about the second Sullivan on the ballot
Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan of Alaska told CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday, "I'm going to accept the results of the election," PBS NewsHour reports; the Washington Examiner and Newsweek report the same pledge. He also said of Democrat Mary Peltola, "She got caught lying, and she's still lying to the Alaskan people, the media, to all of us," over a second candidate, Daniel J. Sullivan Jr., on the ballot. Peltola, her campaign and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee have denied involvement, PBS NewsHour reports. Newsweek reports that the League of Women Voters of Alaska and Common Cause said in an October 31 court filing that questioning voters about their ballots would be "Orwellian and illegal"; Newsweek notes the filing does not indicate agents have done so. On NBC's "Meet the Press," Sen. Tim Scott did not commit to accepting the results if Sullivan loses, the Examiner reports.
