A day before the midterms, the Trump administration asks the Supreme Court to order California to set aside mail ballots from more than 20,000 people it says are likely noncitizens, after two lower courts refused
On Monday, the day before the midterm elections, the Justice Department asked the Supreme Court to order California to set aside the mail ballots of more than 20,000 people the government says are likely not U.S. citizens until their citizenship is verified.
